Law School Advice

With law schools starting across the country, here's some decent advice for new law students. Most of the advice applies equally well to returning students.

Findlaw has a 10-point list of things to do for law school.

GW Law Prof. Orin Kerr has two simple pieces of advice: It's normal to feel lost, and go to your professor's office hours and ask lots of questions. Read more here.

Villanova Law Prof. James Edward Maule has a collection of six articles offering advice for 1L's.

Meanwhile, Michael O'Hear of Marquette Law School offers some different advice about feeling lost.

And from the student side of the Ivory Tower, Top Law Student offers this advice on commercial supplements.

I'd suggest you pick up Planet Law school through your local library and read the streamlined parts of it (there is a guide to skipping much of it actually as a part of the book).
