With record-high temperatures sweeping across the country, blackouts have hit areas such as Southern California, New York City, and St. Louis. Glenn Reynolds, a well-known blogger about law and politics on Instapundit.com, had a discussion about disaster preparedness, and talked about the types of things you would want to put in an emergency preparedness kit. Among other online resources Reynolds cited was the Church's Provident Living Web site. As Reynolds commented, Mormons "take this subject seriously."
